What is the Ambassador's Club?

The Ambassador’s Club is made up of individuals who have journeyed with us to Malawi and returned forever changed. Their experiences in Malawi shaped their perspectives, deepened their connections, and inspired them to carry our mission in their hearts every day.

A WASH Ambassador is part of a growing family of people who have stood on the ground in Malawi, met the community face-to-face, and come home committed to making a difference. Ambassadors champion our mission, encourage others to get involved, and help strengthen the bridge between our supporters and the people we serve. They are advocates, storytellers, and everyday leaders of hope.

"The most surprising part of the trip was the overwhelming lack of infrastructure in Malawi. It's nearly impossible to fully realize the hardships Malawians face unless you observe it firsthand. The impact of this realization was so profound I could not help but lose sleep at night contemplating their struggles. However, seeing the joy that lit up their faces and their expressions of heartfelt and unadulterated gratitude, made it all worthwile, letting me know on a deeper level how vital this life giving work is. I'm happy to support such a meaningful mission."

"My oldest daughter Bridget and her friends founded the original non-profit Girls Reaching Out and built the first wells back in 2017. My younger daughter Charlotte and her friends continued and expanded GRO. So, it was my dream to take them to experience their direct impact and know that kids truly can make a difference. It resulted in a full circle moment that deepened their love for service. The trip fueled them to continue to actively serve GRO and WASH today."

"Travelling to Malawi Africa opened my eyes to Malawi's joyous culture. Too often in America I am displeased with the failures of my own high expectations. In Malawi I witnessed children with little expectations and huge smiles despite the little they had. In American culture many of us act as if material value will bring us happiness. Yet in Malawi, I saw kids happier to receive soccer balls than I've ever seen a kid in America receive a new video game. The smiles of these Malawian children changed my life by reminding me that happiness is not defined by material things, and that in many cases happiness can just be a decision to be grateful."
