The 2026 International Team
salesforce malawi 2026 globe_edited.png

The May 2026 team of volunteers are from 5 countries and 4 continents.  The Volunteers traveling from Australia, Argentina, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States will also be representing Japan, Ecuador and India.

We are looking forward to arriving and engaging with the students and communities in Malawi, the Warm Heart of Africa.  The volunteers will spend the day at The Agape Orphanage while also visiting four schools in the Lilongwe and Ku Chawe areas that have received new boreholes this year.

The head teachers at the Maming’azi and Kachiswe schools have planned educational enrichment activities with the volunteers to engage the students and classroom teachers during their visit.  Funds donated by Salesforce and the volunteers were used to repair the roof at the Kachiswe school and to build a new borehole to bring water to this school of 500 students and the nearby area.  The roof project also included solar lighting for three of the classrooms. The first building to have lighting in this community.

The volunteers plan to enjoy a safari at Muvuu Camp after completing their work at the orphanage and schools.  Some volunteers will have the opportunity to also visit Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Jordan and Egypt before returning home.

Volunteering with Wash for Life

You can volunteer in various capacities from home or in Malawi.  Your time supports the mission of bringing water to communities in Malawi so more girls can stay in school to further their education.

Salesforce Volunteering and Giving programs enable Salesforce employees and their friends a unique and personal experience to make a difference in the lives of many.

Your Donation Makes The Difference

Donations to Wash for Life directly support the orphanage and schools that the volunteers serve.

Salesforce employees and those with a corporate donation program can double their impact by submitting your donation to be matched.

The Amazing 2025 Team

The Salesforce team volunteered at The Agape Orphanage, a local farm & visited five schools from Lilongwe to Zomba. Each of these schools recently received a new borehole with direct access to water due to the generosity of donors to Wash for Life. The volunteers had an immersive hands-on experience with the learners in the classrooms at Nkhukwa Primary School and in collaboration sessions with their teachers.

The July 2025 team traveled from cities across the United States & Canada. See here for more from their adventure and the impact they made for the communities they visited.
