Malawi Trip

The Malawi Trip is a small, structured visit to meet our partners, see boreholes in action, listen to community leaders, and document impact. We are excited to share pictures, video, and stories from our time spent in Malawi.

What is The Malawi Trip?

The Malawi Trip is a 1-2 week-long, small-group visit coordinated between our Malawian partners and WASH for Life. During the trip, we visit active and completed borehole sites, meet school leaders and learners, and engage ourselves in the unique culture in Malawi. Keeping close connection and communication between our partners and friends in Malawi is very important and the Malawi Trip helps us do this. Travelers take pictures and conduct interviews to share with those back at home. We often travel to multiple regions of Malawi. The trip usually includes visits to:

  • Tembwe Farm - to visit with our friend Patrick and family

  • Schools and Boreholes - to see the impact of boreholes with students and teachers on the ground

  • Safari - to experience Malawi's variety of wildlife
